Founder Michelle J. Cen
Michelle Jialin Cen is a student cultural innovator deeply passionate about integrating Mi-se porcelain—“secret-color” celadon—into modern life, and also works as an independent art designer specializing in enamel jewelry. Beyond her focus on cultural projects, she is an avid environmental policy advocate who has conducted research in environmental economics, as well as an active student leader in her community: she previously served as Minister of the Publicity Department in the Student Union of Shenzhen Middle School, and currently holds the position of Minister of the Harvard BPC Operation Department (Southern China Division), an organization dedicated to promoting business education for Chinese teenagers.

Tanjun Sun
Tanjun Sun is a descendant of the intangible heritage inheritor of the Mi-se porcelain, studying at Ningbo Foreign Language School. He is engaged in technical research on Mi-se porcelain and the production of culturally creative porcelain. He studied in an art summer camp in 2024 at the London School of the Arts in the UK and led a team to engage in celadon cultural dissemination activities. He also wrote a research report on the “correlation between traditional cultural dissemination methods and youth acceptance” and submitted it to China Think Big.

‌Li Chen (Lily)‌ serves as a dedicated teacher of ‌economics and environmental science‌ at ‌Shenzhen Middle School‌. Originating from Ningbo‌, a city renowned for ‌Mi-se porcelain ceramics, Lily brings both her academic expertise and cultural heritage to her role. Passionate about sustainability and education, she actively contributes as a ‌consultant‌ to the ‌Mi-se porcelain project‌, bridging traditional craftsmanship with modern environmental awareness.

Tianchen Jiang is a current high school student in Shenzhen (Grade 11). Specialized in the Er-Hu (a Chinese traditional instrument), she has a special interest in Chinese traditional arts and music. As Mi-se porcelains were used to play music (Ou Music) in the Tang dynasty, she enjoys playing Er-hu with Ou music players.

‌Isabelle Cen‌ is a ‌Junior student‌ at ‌Shenzhen Middle School‌, where she serves as ‌Vice Chairman of the Student Union‌. A dynamic leader with exceptional ‌communication skills‌, she actively engages in ‌the Model of United Nations (MUN)‌, honing her diplomatic and analytical abilities. Beyond academics, she leads the ‌Business Pioneer Competition (BPC) club‌, where her strategic thinking and teamwork have earned her the ‌4th national award‌ in the ‌Harvard Business School Education‌ case competition.

Yijiang Xu
Yijiang Xu, a first-year high school student at Cizhong Academy, was influenced by his father, a celadon culture researcher. Immersed in celadon culture since childhood, he has now become a campus ambassador for promoting it. His achievements in this field are notable: his celadon works won first prize in the primary school modeling category of the Cixi Primary and Secondary School Art Competition, while his celadon paintings claimed first prize in the junior high school category of the same competition’s art works section. Additionally, his calligraphy works were exhibited at the inaugural Cixi Celadon-themed International Calligraphy Exhibition, and he has taken part in filming several celadon-related documentaries and street dance music MVs. He has also shared the Cixi celadon culture with foreign audiences.
